Our Mission
LDC is part of United Church Outdoor Ministries Hamilton Conference, whose purpose is to provide camping & other outdoor ministries as a total living experience, offering an opportunity to grow and learn in our personal life here and now, through an awareness of God as known in Jesus Christ.
Our Staff
The counselling staff who are chosen for LDC are carefully screened and selected. They have a desire to work with and for the good of young people. They provide mature, experienced leadership while displaying a genuine faith and life as Christians. When not investing in youth at LDC, the staff are graduate students, teachers, business owners, church staff, and social workers, just to name a few.
Our staff have been screened and interviewed, with police checks on file. We take the safety and care of the LDC participants very seriously and take all precautions to ensure they are not put in a vulnerable or dangerous situation.
